Welcome here!

Nice to meet you. 😊

I’m Lindsay, a Registered Dietitian (RD) with 12 years of experience and a degree in Biochemistry and Human Nutritional Sciences. As a mom of three, I understand the challenges busy women face when trying to prioritize their health amidst the chaos of daily life. That’s why I founded Lindsay Martens Nutrition—to help women thrive beyond diet culture and find sustainable, health-promoting habits without getting stuck in all or nothing thinking.

My Mission

My mission is to help busy women understand health beyond diet culture and discover sustainable, healthy habits. Using a blend of Health at Every Size (HAES), Intuitive Eating, the science of habits, nutritional science, and active listening, I provide compassionate, friendly, and warm guidance. I focus on nourishment as care for the body rather than control.

Your fed self is your best self.

My Approach

I’ve seen firsthand the damage that chronic dieting can do. One of my clients, Melissa, dieted from an early age and worried about passing this onto her kids. Through our work together, she found sustainable habits and joyful living. Another client was frustrated by the lack of results despite their efforts. I connected the dots for them, providing clear direction and long-term solutions. My approach is about fostering peace and liberation from the restrict-binge cycle, helping you find a long-term, sustainable relationship with food.

Programs and Services

I offer two group programs designed to fit into busy lives:

  • FED Mamas: A 13-week group program (or DIY online course) to help moms heal their relationship with food and their bodies.
  • Proactive Action: A 6-month program to help busy women take proactive action and prioritize their own health and wellbeing.

Additionally, I offer a DIY online course called FED Kids to help parents raise children with a healthy relationship with food. For more individualized needs, such as chronic disease interventions, I provide virtual one-on-one nutrition counseling to residents of Manitoba.

Philosophy on Food and Body

I believe in giving you the tools to combat the pressures of diet culture, restrictive eating, or negative self-talk about your body. Instead, embracing eating in a way that feels good to you, joyful movement, self-compassion, prioritizing your overall well-being and cultivating a positive relationship with food, body, and self. This includes reconnecting with your body’s signals and cues so you can start to rely on internal motivators more often. Bodies aren’t good or bad — they’re just bodies. The same is true for food.
